<p>This report contains an overview of the accumulated world observations of mental disorders in people who have undergone COVID-19 of varying severity. It has been shown that a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) leads to multiple organ lesions not only in the active phase of the disease, but also in the long term is complicated by "postcovid syndrome". It is considered proven that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is able to overcome the blood-brain barrier and directly affect the neurons of the frontal cortex, as well as neurons and glial cells of other parts of the central nervous system. Many patients, even after a mild course of coronavirus infection, note a deterioration in memory, concentration, rapid mental fatigue, headaches and sleep disorders. Experts note an increase in depressive and anxiety affective disorders among those who have suffered from moderate or severe COVID-19. In addition, there are cases of self-harm, panic attacks, suicidal thoughts, fear of large crowds of people and open spaces, which is associated with post-traumatic stress disorder against the background of a long course of the disease and fear of death. Considering the situation as a whole, an increase in borderline mental states such as anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder has been detected in the global population since the outbreak of COVID-19.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>коронавирусная инфекция COVID-19,</kwd><kwd>постковидный синдром,</kwd><kwd>психические расстройства,</kwd><kwd>тревожность,</kwd><kwd>депрессия,</kwd><kwd>память.</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>coronavirus infection COVID-19,</kwd><kwd>long COVID,</kwd><kwd>post-COVID syndrome,</kwd><kwd>mental disorders,</kwd><kwd>anxiety,</kwd><kwd>depression,</kwd><kwd>memory.</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">1.
